If we rely on what happened last summer at marketing, it seems that the third season of True Blood , which opens in U.S. on 13 June, again breaking box office records. The viral campaign that launched HBO last year gave the best results thinkable. A conventional advertising is a macro-campaign joined on Facebook (with a similar one on Twitter) that we engaged in many rapidly (as rapidly as we unhooked, it must be said). You could make friends with any resident of Bon Temps, however secondary out, however unlikely that this character knew was using a computer, and follow his adventures in the network. Some even called you friends to you (what came to seem desperate.) A hype that it quickly saturate (the True Blood of us had monopolized the wall), but it paid off: the people commenting on the events of episodes each week with the players, and these were followed by the game, giving clues about what would happen (it was fun for many), and it contributed to the gradual increase of the audience, rising with each episode.
This year I am not aware of what is happening on Facebook, but I'm having fun with the Internet advertising campaign. On one side are the Minisode (released in the chain, but massively distributed online), under the common title A Drop of Blood True , which as its name suggests, are episodes of duration Guests, each focusing on a character (or two). Have so far been opened two, one focusing on Eric and Pam (nothing special), and another starring Jessica (this is already better.) And a more conventional advertising methods are the posters (although webisodes are already common practice in many series). To date, seven promotional posters that HBO has revealed. Some better than others, all reveal an interest in continuing to offer the freshest product on television (it is or not is another matter), generating some excitement about the campaign itself. For now, my favorites are VILF (2), Missing (5) and Vamp Stamp (7). The HBO's official website is posting for download in high quality. I have I downloaded from there. Then, seven, one after another.
But first let us briefly in the promotion of group (which already have been discussed ad nauseum). What does this suggestive picture? At first glance, many things: a greater role for Pam, Eric situated in the center of the photo (more prominent role for Eric, right?), The wolf in the background (and could have brought the actor who plays Alcide, Joe Manganiello) , a snake through the legs of Jessica (a spin-off for Jessica, please), and many knowing looks, desire, lust ... Is less than a month and the withdrawal is becoming more unbearable. Advertising works.
